About Sophie Newhouse

Sophie Newhouse PA-C is a devoted and compassionate Board-Certified Physician Assistant committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Elon University in North Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Leadership Studies from Christopher Newport University in Virginia. With a strong academic foundation, Sophie combines analytical thinking, empathy, and attention to detail in her approach to patient care. Throughout her clinical training, Sophie gained extensive experience across multiple specialties, but she is particularly passionate about women’s health. She values patient education and shared-decision making, striving to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed choices about their health.

Sophie believes that exceptional patient care extends beyond medical treatment it requires building trust, fostering open communication, and creating a harmonious healthcare environment where patients feel truly heard and supported. She prides herself on her strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to collaborate across disciplines to ensure comprehensive and effective care for every patient she encounters.

Outside of her professional life, Sophie enjoys exploring new places, whether traveling to a new destination or trying out local restaurants, as well as cherishing time spent with family and friends. She loves to dote on her puppy or curl up with a good book and a cup of coffee.

Sophie is excited to begin her journey in primary care, where she hopes to make a lasting impact on her patients and the community she serves.
