Myah Mukes, FNP-BC, is an American Nurses Credentialing Center Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner practicing at Quality Primary Care in Rockville, Maryland.
Myah received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
Myah has a nursing background in treating adult and pediatric populations with acute and chronic health issues. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Myah has exceptional experience in various medical disciplines including nursing care for Neurology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and Transplant patients.
Throughout her education and clinical training, Myah was recognized for demonstrating advanced levels of clinical judgement and scholarship and received the Doctor of Nursing Practice Clinical Award among her graduating cohort. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. With her alma mater, Myah has had work published on evidence-based Quality Improvement projects.
Myah is passionate about accessible health education and intentional, equitable patient care. Her commitment to serving within her local communities is guided by her heart. Myah’s interest in pursuing a career in healthcare dates back to 2010, and from then, she knew she wanted to work in Primary Care. She has dedicated her career to advancing her knowledge and awareness of the patients she treats, while also advocating for better access to quality healthcare.
Outside of work, Myah enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and sorority sisters. She also takes delight in fictional reading, live concerts of her favorite musical artists, group spin classes, trying new local restaurants, and traveling. As a native Memphian, Myah is a passionate fan of the Memphis Grizzlies.
